Gulf Oil Spill Coverage

Photo of Gulf Oil Spill controlled burn by

USCG Petty Officer FC John Masson/Tom Stack & Associates

June, 2009 We photograph giant wind turbines in southwestern Wyoming. Dramatic storm cloudsreally help to add drama to the image. The use of Photomatix tone mapping software certainly helped to heighten the mood.

June, 2009 We photograph several unique fossils. This fossil snake is only the second ever found in the Green River Formation, Wyoming. Lighting this specimen properly with our Canon 430EX Speedlite proved to be a real challenge.

  • April, 2009: Ninety-five of Tom & Therisa's photos were placed on permanent display in the new Broward County DEA building.

December, 2008: Tom & Therisa were honored guests at the dedication ceremony for the new DEA Homestead Resident Office. Thirty of their photos were selected for permanent display throughout the new state of the art building.

November, 2008: Working with a specialized new lens, the Canon MP-E 65 lens and the Canon MT-24 EX Macro Twin Lite to produce multiple exposures for focus stacking with Helicon Focus software enable us to create extraordinary images such as this moth, with its proboscis extended, at 5X life size!

  • October, 2008 Therisa's artwork accepted by the
  • Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation Fundraiser at the
  • IGFA (International Game Fish Association)
